My Students

Welcome to Fun in First Grade! My classroom is a self-contained first-grade classroom of many mixed abilities and vibrant personalities. We are a rural Kindergarten through fifth-grade elementary school with an extremely high percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunches.

Our school is dated and could benefit from upgrades.

Many students live in poverty and lack the outside support needed for academic success. We strive to give our students every opportunity to be successful in their education.

My Project

Charge it! Help me give my students a new computer charging station to help keep them ready and prepared for class. We use Chromebooks every day for our learning. Students use them for accessing Google classroom and practicing skills on educational websites. We are able to access our reading series on these Chromebooks and read our books digitally. This is so engaging for first graders who are just beginning their journey of reading adventures! They need to be charged and ready to go, no more worrying about the computer cord chaos.
