This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my school come from primarily low income homes and many of my students are learning English as their second language. Within each of my classes, I have a diverse community of students with different strengths and needs.

My students are sociable and love working together to learn music.

At my school, we strive to provide our students with a variety of fun, engaging activities that support their learning, so that every child finds their best way to connect to the content.

My Project

I am so lucky to have a strings class in my school. As a lifelong violinist, it thrills me to be able to teach children to play violin, viola, cello and bass. My strings students have forty minutes a week to learn their instrument with me, so we have to find ways to maximize that time by being as organized as possible.

A storage cart for my music stands will help us keep our stands organized, giving me more room in my classroom and more time to teach.

Every minute in the classroom counts and I know that with every tool I can use to keep my classroom organized, I am finding more time to teach.
