My Students

I teach a class of highly inquisitive and active children. They are fantastic in showing kindness and compassion for each other. This is only matched by the high energy levels they posses and their desire to find a constructive outlet.

These children love to learn and are actively engaged in the classroom lessons.

Their eyes light up with delight as they find words we have learned in books and print. Then, they help others find the very word they just discovered.

My Project

Wobble stools and wobble boards give the students choice in the classroom. They will be able to decide between different seating arrangements within the class. Over time it helps them discover the way they work and learn best.

I believe that not all students learn in the same way, just as not adults work the same way.

That is why it is important to teach kids to make decisions, within reason, and a great way to do that is to let them make small decisions in the classroom. In turn, they are able to maintain movement while still learning.
