This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My scholars are wonderful children from Brooklyn, New York. They come from many different backgrounds and enjoy learning about each other. Despite there differences, their joy for movement and dance is ecstatic. They enjoy creating dances with each other; as well as, learning choreography from me.

With guidance, my scholars are learning to become life-long leaders, problem solvers, and inquiries.

With these skills, the scholars' are able to work together to create different task given. It's truly an honor to work with these scholars.

My Project

The materials I requested will make a difference by providing my scholars with tools need to have a full experience while learning ballet.

My 1st-grade students have been inquiring about the ballet barre in the studio.

They have put a great amount of excitement in learning about ballet. The scholars will utilize the Capezio Daisy 205 Ballet Shoe every Monday and Thursday during Dance class. The scholars will learn: the five positions of the feet, The five positions of the arms (Port de bras), How to point and flex the feet, and the order of an ballet class. With the things listed the scholars will begin to understand and perform ballet.
