My Students
These Dragons are eager to learn! The majority of my students come from hispanic backgrounds and speak Spanish as their first language.
My students attend a Title I school that is 89% economically disadvantaged, receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
Most of my students do not have access to educational activities at home and did not attend preschool. So whenever they are in school it is crucial to deliver the information being taught in a clear manner. The computers here at school are typically their only time they will have access to a computer so it is crucial this time is well spent.
My Project
My kindergartners need kid-friendly headphones the fit over their ears for their reading/math center rotations.
It would be very helpful to have these headphones so the kids on the computers could escape to the world of technology!
It can be very distributive when the kids are reading books online or doing math activities on the classroom Google Chromebooks and they do not have headphones to keep their work silent. The kids in the other stations get distracted and lose focus. The same goes for the kids reading or doing math games.
We currently have 5 Chromebooks and 3 iPads so this will be very beneficial for those rotations involving technology.
