My Students

Our school is a small, rural, public school, situated in the southernmost county of Alabama. It is a unique coastal community and a fantastic place to work. As teachers, we have the awesome opportunity to serve this very diverse and wonderful community of students. Our student population may be small, but the heart of our school is BIG!

Like many rural schools, the majority of our school's student population live below the poverty level but, despite that fact, our students are happy, caring, outgoing, and eager to learn.

My Project

As we all face these uncertain times and venture down this road of "Distance Learning", it is vital that we keep our young students connected and engaged.

So many of my special education students do not have technology devices that are necessary to participate in online classroom activities and video class conferencing from home.

It is my job to find ways to supplement these needs and bring technology to all of my students.

I have requested 4 Lenovo Chromebooks that have Wifi and Video capabilities that will allow my "Distance Learning" students to participate in our Google Classroom lessons and activities from home.
