This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We believe that every student, no matter what, should have the chance at college success. The students at our school are buoyed up by a community of educators with the passion to ensure success. We are located in the middle of a diverse, working-class neighborhood in Hayward.

Last year, we opened a brand new middle school!

This year, we are a 7th-8th college-bound community of innovators, creative thinkers, athletes, and change makers. Next year, we'll add a 6th-grade class as well.

My Project

Many times our students need to get work done at home: projects, unfinished classwork, reading and math pathways, research, coding, art. Most of the students you know probably have easy access to a library or their own computer at home to get this work done. Sometimes students don't have access, and this results in an inequitable outcome that is not the student's fault. That is why we would like to have a Chromebook available for students to check out and take home if they need to get more work done at home. This Chromebook will help change the outcomes for the students who need it, and help ensure their future success!
