My 1st grade students are full of energy! I love watching them observe the world around them and look to them for inspiration.
These students come from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
Over 40% of these students are economically disadvantaged and these students receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch daily.
Our school is a S.T.E.M school, which has an emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. I am excited to get some new STEM resources in their hands this school year!
My Project
My students are in desperate need for books to take home and read during distance learning. We all know how hard it is to be stuck on a computer all day. And not all of my families have access to books at home. This project will supply my students with fiction and nonfiction books, as well as a Book Buddy Take Home Book Bag for them to keep their books in.
My 1st grade students need books in their hand to help them learn to read this year!
These books will help students get off the computer and practice their reading skills with their families.
