My Students

My students are in second grade at a small, Title I school in a mostly rural/suburban community. My students love coming to school each day. It is an escape for some of them. It is their safe place.

My students are very curious learners.

They love to ask questions. They also love to voice their opinions. They enjoy sharing their ideas with others. Our classroom is very close-knit and I believe that's part of what makes our school and community special.

My Project

My students take home a variety of books each night to read for homework. These books get shoved in their bookbags or squeezed tightly into folders where they simply don't belong, which results in books being ruined.

My students need a more organized way to store their books and do homework each night.

These take-home pouches would be a perfect way to keep their books neat and secure so that they do not get lost or ruined.

I would love to be able to gift my students with their own take-home pouches that I could use year after year. Organization is a huge concept in my classroom, and I try to instill that in my students every day.
