This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My junior high school program includes band, orchestra, full orchestra, choir, guitar, and piano. We perform and compete at multiple events throughout the year all around the central valley. My students are also very active in after school programs that include winter percussion and jazz band.

With such an active program, we are in dire need of improvements to our equipment to improve the musical success of my students.

I would love to offer as much as I can to them despite some financial challenges.

My Project

We are in desperate need for new music stands in our music program. I have tried fixing most of them, but there just seem to be too many just that just need to be replaced.

I would love to provide my students with quality music stands that we would be able to practice and perform with that will function well as well as look professional.

I want my students to have a sense of pride as they know they can play with quality equipment. If this project gets funded, it will be a fantastic first step to getting to my music stand goal.
