Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very special individuals. They come from an urban environment and often struggle financially. They often lack basic supplies to make learning successful in my classroom.
Despite their struggles, my students come to school with a positive attitude, ready to learn from me and one another.
They come from diverse backgrounds, but they are ready and willing to work together to make learning fun!
I love being a teacher and my students know I care about their success!
My Project
Our classroom is in need of a new classroom rug. Unfortunately, our classroom flooded over Christmas Break and ruined our classroom rug. We use the rug for many different activities but mostly when we are doing whole group work. The students come to the rug to share ideas and thoughts with one another. It's a great time to have accountable talk with the students explaining their work and thinking to their classmates. Our rug is a clean place for all students to sit on while learning lessons on the SmartBoard. If you can help us replace our classroom rug we would be forever grateful. Thank you so much!
