My Students

Our team works with a wide range of students from kindergarten through fifth grade at this small NE Portland neighborhood school. Most of the students are typically developing but there are some who have additional needs because of the impact of educational disabilities. Our team, including parents and classroom teachers, determines the amount of impact the disabilities have on a student and then, when necessary, develops a plan to provide equity for any student with lagging academic and/or social/emotional skills.

My Project

Seating for students and myself to use at home during comprehensive distance learning (CDL) so that we can endure the long hours of screen time. The students will be offered a Surf Portable Lapdesk/Chair and I will have an office chair to use at home. The students will have an additional option if they already have a desk/table at home. Some other students who are logging on from their a sofa or their bed will have a desk just for them. In any case, we'll all have an option to help with the long hours of studying/working from home.
