My Students

Every year I have a classroom full of energetic, enthusiastic and curious first graders and I know this year is going to be no different! My students come from all different backgrounds, experiences, and levels of previous skills. They come with different interests and different strengths and ways in which they learn best. All of my students come to school wanting to have fun and learn!

My students are the most important thing in my classroom and deserve the best!

My Project

Some of our most important work takes place when we are gathered together in front of the Smartboard. My students have to sit on the floor during this instructional time and I believe that they deserve a comfy place to sit. This classroom carpet provides that comfy spot!

The design of the rug also allows for each student to have his/ her own personal space, which is great for first graders who are learning boundaries and/or do better without anyone else invading 'their' space.

The different colored spots can also provide me with opportunities to have students play games according to color or even form groups according to their colored spots!
