Our school strives to have a growth mindset with every individual. There is no "I can't" at our school only "I can" or "I can't YET." In order for students to believe in themselves and reach for greatness, we have to first believe in ourselves to lead the way.
There are 52 future leaders in my class that come to school to be the best they can be every single day.
The class is made up of 9 and 10 year olds from many different cultures and backgrounds.
The socioeconomic make up of my class is very diverse as well. Some of my students come from affluent families while other students come from families near the poverty line.
My Project
Do you do your best work sitting straight in a chair, sprawled out on the floor, or relaxing on the couch? Just like adults, students have spaces and seats where they feel most productive.
By donating to my project, you will help create a space where all students have a space to work, focus, and be productive students.
Some of my students work best while sitting in a desk and chair, while others work best while sitting on the floor on a wobble disk or floor cushion. Maybe they would like to sit in a saucer chair. Being comfortable leads allows students to focus longer on the task at hand and that is always a great thing!
