My Students
My students are awesome! They have a thirst to learn and want to read everything they can get their hands on. Unfortunately, our classroom library is lacking in what it takes to make good readers.
My students are on free lunch and in most cases homeless.
Most of my students come from single parent homes and their parents can not afford to send in items for our classroom. My students will be extremely appreciative to have a well organized classroom library with new books.
My Project
We would love to have a kidney-shaped table in our classroom to complete our small group assignments with the teacher as well as working with our peers. We currently are using a round table that makes it difficult for more than four students to sit comfortably at the table with the teacher.
A kidney-shaped table will be ideal when working in small reading and math groups with the students and teacher.
We have looked around our school as well as in the school warehouse to find a kidney-shaped table for an awesome group of students. If this project is funded, it will make a group of students very happy during our small group time. Everyone will be able to fit comfortably at the table as well as see the teacher. The teacher will be able to reach each student to ensure that their academic needs are being met!
