My students need new books for our classroom library, a class set of privacy partitions for testing, math folder games for math centers, and a chart easel for our whole group learning activities.
I just started my first year at a new school and I am excited to begin a new chapter. I previously taught at a low-income, high poverty school for two years. I recently moved and I am now at a new school teaching a new grade. The school has a high ESOL population, and is highly transient. The school is a Title I school with limited resources.
I want to ensure my students have the best educational experience they can given their language differences.
I am a first grade teacher for the first time at a new school. I know I will face some challenges given my students' language differences, but I know with the proper resources and lots of dedication, my students will succeed. I am excited to see their growth academically.
My Project
The various selection of books I have requested will be a perfect addition to our read aloud activities! Each book has a message that will be great in teaching character traits, manners, and kindness.
The class set of privacy partitions will be used during testing times.
This allows students to focus and do their best with limited distractions.
The classroom easel will hold our chart tablets, which is great for jotting down their ideas, displaying graphic organizers, and allows for interactive discussions. The storage on the back allows the tablets to be stored without being damaged. These resources will help my students to be engaged as they work together on various lessons.
