My Students
I am a teacher of 26 amazing second grade students. My students come from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Most of my students come from a two parent home with working parents and the support they need for success. While some of my students have only been in the country for a year. The diversity in the classroom brings about a community of learners and sweet friendships. I have wonderful students!
They are full of life and passionate with a desire to learn about the world around them.
My Project
Cold and flu season are in full swing. This results in a lot of absent students. When students are absent, they miss out on crucial instructional time. Illness disrupts a child’s potential to fully learn all they are required to. An absence also affects the rest of the class. The class is now exposed to a sickness as well as a hurt community without the sick child there. It also leaves the teacher sick or stressed trying to catch up the absent students.
With an air purifier, the entire class will be able to breath clean air; reducing illness.
This air purifier reduces pollen, allergens, mold, viruses, and bacteria in the air. The cleaner the air, the healthier and happier we will all be!
