My students are energetic, intelligent, enthusiastic individuals who deserve an environment that fosters learning while catering to their learning needs. My scholars crave the opportunity to learn about the world around them and are in need of the tools that will help with the access of knowledge.
Our next-generation learners require an environment where discovery and cooperation are the base of their learning experiences and their environment conducive to their various learning styles and educational needs.
My class consists of students from dissimilar backgrounds and of varying needs. Of my 28 little friends, we receive ESOL services as well as resource services but we all strive to work together.
My Project
As educators, we are tasked with preparing the students in our charge with the skills to be self-sufficient once leaving our classrooms. For some students this means college. For others, it is a career. In order to meet the needs of being college and career ready, our students must have meaningful experiences with technology. Students should be exposed to advanced technology which helps to shape how they learn. By embracing and integrating technology in the classroom, educators are setting students up for a successful life beyond the walls of our classrooms.
Lessons are engaging with technology, and when students receive the opportunities to manipulate, investigate, and create through carefully crafted opportunities.
Technology also encourages growth and learning on an individual level. Students are able to receive differentiated instruction. Those in need of advancement receive the opportunity to complete projects in which research can be done with access to multiple sources. Students in need of review can receive lessons specifically catered to their needs.
Adding working technology to our classroom will create an environment where students are engaged, allowed to collaborate with each other, receive opportunities for student-driven projects that, in turn, create students who are prepared for the next step in their lives.
