My Project

This elective class is designed for students to find new avenues to express themselves visually and artistically. Students will develop critical skills in graphic design using mediums often unavailable to them, such as spray paint, paint markers, and digital software. The incredible thing about spray paint is that it functions much different than most other artistic mediums, meaning students from all creative levels can progress their visual arts skills.

It is essential for students to find unique ways to express themselves, especially in the wake of Covid-19, and what better way to express oneself than through school beautification of student artwork.

As a final project for this course, each student will design, create, and install an eight-foot street art mural at the school using spray paint and paint markers. The supplies provided by this grant will give students the materials needed to learn and practice a unique art form that is often overlooked in traditional settings.
