Young students struggle with the task of learning to read. My students have the heart and are giving their best. The TAG system will help their dreams of becoming strong readers a reality.
These students are second graders.
They work with kindergarten and ASD Special Need students' classroom on a weekly basis and love it. They work with teaching Kindergarten students while reinforcing their own phonemic awareness. The students with special needs get a weekly visit too. The second grade students work with them socially and it would be awesome to share stories of literacy through this grant.
My Project
Tag School Reader technology is an interactive reading system that brings books to life. Every touch a student makes with a Tag School Reader creates a multi-sensory reading experience. Students can hear stories read aloud, get on-demand pronunciation for individual words, listen to audio from characters and other story elements, and play fun activities that reinforce key skills.
I believe in the importance of students having fun while learning.
This system gives them the opportunity to experience books of high interest on a challenging level independently. They will build fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension independently and while sharing with younger students.
