Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are the kind of kids who work hard to change the community's perception of where they come from. They mostly live in government housing, so they have to work exceptionally hard to overcome obstacles. They do not have access to materials that could vastly expand their learning, which is why I want to give them the opportunity to broaden their horizons.

My students deserve the chance to utilize technology in order to further engage their learning.

This will enhance their 21st-century skills which will better prepare them for their futures. Lastly, it will help instill an excitement for learning that they've never experienced before.

My Project

With tablets in the classroom, I will be able to cater to all different levels of students. Students who are more academically challenged or academically gifted will have the ability to log onto research-based programs in order to further scaffold or further challenge students to help them grow.

With these resources, students will be able to not only strengthen their 21st century skills, but also close the gaps in content.

It is important for students to learn how to utilize all of their resources and to be independent in order to further their education. The tablets would give students the perfect opportunity to take responsibility for furthering their own education.
