Our classroom is an inclusion model that supports children with a range of cognitive abilities and learning styles. They are eager, motivated little people who are excited about "showing what they know." They are hard workers who enjoy collaborating with each other in our classroom community.
Fostering lifelong learners is a passion of mine!
Located north of Boston, our district is extremely ethnically diverse; over 60 languages are spoken throughout the district. In addition, many of our students receive reduced or free lunch.
My students learn in many different ways. For example, some are auditory and some visual; therefore, to ensure I am reaching all learners, I am requesting 4 kindle tablets to support this blended learning in the classroom. Tablets will be used by students during both large and small group instruction.
I want to use technology as a way to support multiple learning styles.
Tablets will give my students access to a variety of apps in the subject areas of math, literacy, writing, social studies, science and engineering. Students will also have the chance to collaborate with each other on research projects and problem based learning.
