Ms. Quinones from Brooklyn NY is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need access to technology. The Fire Tablets will provide my students with the ability to access reading and math programs as well as access to world wide information.

Tablets to provide access!
My students need these simple tablets to better their reading and writing skills.
Technology will help provide access to resources for my special need students.
My students are from an urban area where their starting point in life is dramatically behind their suburban peers. They often don't have the funds for basic necessities needed to succeed in school. They also have special needs, which requires even more supplies and learning materials to reach the level of their general education peers. They often have parents who aren't present, come from homeless shelters, or live in situations where they aren't able to afford supplies. Technology in the classroom can make all the difference in their education.
My students don't always have access to technology to extend their learning beyond the classroom.
Having these tablets in class will help open new opportunities to learning.
Being able to add multiple modes of accessing information is a goal in my classroom this year. Students having technology will help them access information previously not attainable.
I will assign small research projects, readings, and current events so my students' minds can grow. Allowing students to access Math, Science and Social Studies through technology will better prepare them for the real-world events like college and careers. I want to be able to assign them them meaningful assignments so they grow a love of learning and can achieve their dreams!
