The Special Education and English Learner classroom students bring a variety of students into our classroom. Each student has his or her own way of learning. Some are visual learners, some are auditory learners, some are tactile learners, and some are kinestic learners. They are excited to try different learning methods whether it be from a worksheet, book, movie, or a computer software program.
A new day arises when the lightbulb lights up in each of their eyes.
It is a joy to see the student's faces when they learn about a new way of learning. Where one may struggle with math and another with spelling, the look they show with a smile and bright eyes is priceless.
These students struggle, but in their struggles they continue to try to learn all that they can. I really enjoy working with these students to help with their educational growth. They are a remarkable, wonderful group of students to work with.
I have computer programs to help special education and English learners increase their learning. However, as a school the Ipads that we currently have are distributed to classes during the times these students are in my room so we aren't able to use the computer programs to help grow our education.
Tablets for learning!
The tablets will help my students to utilize the computer programs for English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and improving our English Language as a whole as well as for Vocabulary and Spelling. When students have other avenues to learn the same material that a teacher teaches them, the information is understood better.
