Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come to school energetic and ready to learn every day! They enjoy technology, but it is hard for most of them to get a chance to use the desktops in our classroom since we only have four available. They often get fidgety and restless while waiting for their turn. I would like the opportunity to offer my students individual tablets.

My Project

My students LOVE technology! My fourth graders would embrace the use of more technology available in our classroom. I have two groups of students that I teach English Language Arts and Social Studies to daily. They come from various backgrounds, including academic abilities, cultures, home languages, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Something that they have in common, however, are that they are eager to learn and are curious about the world. Unfortunately, many of my students don't get to even leave the immediate area. They need as many opportunities as possible to access the world around them and gain as many skills as they can.
