My Students

I teach at a Title I school in East Texas where more than 75% of the school population receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch.

My kids come to school every day eager to learn.

I would love to have extra things to encourage this learning. We work hard to go above and beyond the normal learning atmosphere to keep them eager to learn new things.

I have 18 students in my class and out of the 18, probably 1 or 2 may have some form of technology at home for them to use to go over and above what is expected at school. I would love to be the one who makes the difference in their lives.

My Project

These Samsung tablets will be used for the kids who always finish their work ahead of time and give them extra math and reading practice without it having to be a runoff sheet.

There are many math and reading programs that the students can work on these tablets instead of having to do sheets all the time.

On some of the math and reading programs, the kids can get grades that are sent directly to the teacher, which will be very helpful when doing grades.

The donation of these tablets would be very beneficial to my 2nd-grade class.
