Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Most of my students are in need of new headphones for the classroom. It is so much easier and healthier for the students to have their own set of headphones in the classroom. So many students try to share these headphones and that is not practicing safety first.

My students come from different family environments.

Some students come from a wealthy family lifestyle, but 75 percent of them come from families who can not afford to buy new things and help their students have the technology that is desired to learn in the real world of the twenty first century. So many new TEKS are being taught using technology and students need to know how to take this skill and apply it at home. Having tablets in class to learn on, can transfer that learning from school to home.

My Project

My students will sit with me during small group and learn how to use these tablets to better improve instruction. Students use technology every day and they need to understand that they don't just have to play the apps they download for fun. They can download the learning apps and use it to improve their learning skills from school.

My project is going to make a difference because it is going to allow my students to go home every afternoon and take their learning home.

They can sit with a sibling at home and reteach their fundamentals at home. Most students can also go home and teach their parents what they learned from the day too.
