My students are in a full time ICT second grade classroom. Many of my students come from low-income families. Several are English language learners. There are a few that come from single-parent (or single-grandparent) households.
All of my students are unique individuals who are always eager to learn and be engaged in exciting activities.
My diverse second graders come from a variety of backgrounds and have different needs and wants.
All of my students are eager to learn with open minds, ready to be filled with knowledge.
Our class has become their second family. They are very energetic and enjoy working with each other, love projects, and strive to do their best all in all, they are a group of awesome kids!
My Project
My students use technology daily! They do a lot of research for science and social studies, they do research projects for writing, and they use on-line apps to help practice their skills and further their knowledge. There are 30 students in the class, so we are trying to get tablets funded so more students can go on at the same time.
My students would like to use tablets every day, several times a day!
For more of them to have access at the same time would be a game changer! They use myON and News-O-Matic to push their reading levels and find out about current events. Additionally, they use Mathletics, IXL Math, and XtraMath to push their mathematic thinking and practice. Having tablets would allow more students to access amazing technology!
