My students need 4 Dragon Touch Android Kids Tablets to enhance learning through technology.
This project expired on December 17, 2015.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
This is my first year working as a co-teacher in second grade. I know that it is of the utmost importance to be able to differentiate for my students that have very diverse learning needs. My goal is to take each student and help them achieve their academic goals this year while having fun.
My students come from a low income city and neighborhood that is riddled with crime and can be quite dangerous at times.
Despite their circumstances they come to school ready and willing to learn. They love to dance and sing and love all things that involve technology.
I am requesting 4 Dragon Touch Android Kids Tablets to enhance learning through technology.
I will use these tablets during reading and math differentiated instruction. I will be meeting individually or working with students in groups while other students are independently engaging in other activities like writing, reading, listening to reading, word work activities, and technology. The students using the tablets will be able to practice concepts they learned in the whole group in an independent and relevant way.
This project will improve my classroom because it will allow my students to have access to educational games and activities that are super engaging.
Some of my students might not have the opportunity to use a computer or tablet at home and this helps them to become more familiar with technology and teaches them ways to positively use these tools to enrich their education. My students will become more enthusiastic about learning!
