My students need tablets in the room to supplement only two computers in our classroom to practice math using cool math apps and our school programs.

My Students

A typical day in our room involves whole group, independent work, and math centers. I would like to incorporate technology into small groups. All my students need to be ready for the new online TN state test. Math is like going to the gym for your brain. It sharpens your mind. ~Danica Mckellar

My students are fun-loving third graders from a small rural, Title I school in Tennessee.

There are only 2 classes per grade and I have the privilege of teaching math for both classes. We have 45 students this year, and most of them are girls! It's going to be a great year.

My Project

My students will be able to use 2 tablets to access a world of math apps that can be used in center time. The tablets can also be used to complete math assignments from our curriculum program that is designed to prepare them for the state test in the spring. Also, they will be able to take reading AR tests and various other assessments across the curriculum. It would be great to have more than 2 computers in our classroom!

Many students in my class are still lacking in technology in their home.

Having tablets available will just bring them one step closer to becoming problem solvers and college and career ready!
