My Students

Technology is the way of the future and it's important for young students to have exposure to many different types.

I teach at a public preschool in central Kentucky.

I have three year old students with Developmental Delays or a Disability and four year olds who are considered at risk or have a Delay or Disability. My students have a wide variety of needs and backgrounds but all of them have a thirst for learning.

My Project

With the two Kindle Fires, I will be able to create a small listening center where my students will be able to listen to audio books and music independently. We will also be able to use downloaded apps for small group instruction and activities in a variety of subjects.

The CD player that was for our listening center broke and the desktop computer we have frequently freezes up while the students try to use it.

Having the tablets would allow students to choose between listening to books or music, or work on school readiness skills.
