This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My class is unique in the way that we are an inclusion class, meaning that 55% of my students are typical learners and 45% have IEPS. My students are all learning acceptance of others and have learned compassion by helping their fellow students and friends.
Being in New Orleans, my students have faced trauma and hardship at a young age but still come to school with a smile and eager to learn each day.
I have been given the opportunity of being their teacher and helping them to build a strong foundation for education, while creating a safe, loving environment for them.
My Project
The two tablets I am asking for will replace old computers that my young students struggle with using. The tablets will also be eaier to use with their touch screen than our current laptops where the students struggle with using the mouse.
These tablets will be loaded with educational games, and communication apps for my young students who struggle with speech.
These tablets will make exploring the world outside our classroom and community easier for my young students. They will be able to see different types of families, communities, as well as learning more about our community.
