My students need tablets so that they can access online academic programs to improve their study and literacy skills. Students will be able to utilize programs like Study Island, NoRedInk, and their online textbook among others.
I love my students because they are the hardest workers I know. They devote themselves to growing and seeing improvement in every single assignment and work to their greatest potential. They understand that success looks different for every student and they are very aware of their current level of understanding and set goals for themselves throughout the year to guide their growth.
Beyond looking out for themselves, they care about each other.
Our classroom feels like a family and celebrates each other's successes and support each other when they fall short of their goals.
My Project
This set of ten tablets would ensure that my students always have access to a device that will allow them to use online programs. In our district, not all of our students are able to bring their own devices, and this would supplement the students who are unable to do so. By having access to these tablets, students will be able to complete individualized assignments on Study Island without leaving the classroom and I will be able to provide assistance if they get stuck. Having these tablets would allow for immediate access to remedial and enrichment materials for each student.
