My classroom has 16 scholars with a various disabilities (i.e. Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities,and Other Health Impairments. I teach on a military base where there is high mobility rates. We have a mild to moderate special education program at Mountainside Elementary. Our students are in the general education classroom and receive special education services in my classroom.
My students come from all the corners of the world.
They have parents who are deployed in dangerous areas around the world. These students come from military bases around the world. Regardless of the differences, my students are eager to learn. No matter what learning disability impacts them, they show resilience and diligence.
My students have an immense desire to learn and become the best version of themselves! They love learning and always come to school ready with grit and resilience.
My Project
My students would benefit from having tablets in the resource room! There are SO many great resources available to them, as well as many literacy and math Apps that the school pays for.
My students are SO eager to learn and thrive!
The more students who can access the internet and the school paid Apps, the more who can achieve great success! So many of my students are below grade in math as well as far below grade level in reading. Having more tablets and access to their programs would be a tremendous help!
Additionally, I have included a multi-port charger to make charging multiple devices quick and easy!
