My Students

I work with second graders who are eager to learn and excited to come to school. I have students who come from various backgrounds and different learning styles. My classroom allows students to feel successful, safe and loved!

My students are engaged in learning through group work and are exposed to hands on learning experiences.

Students learn differently so it’s important to have small group instruction to allow for student growth!

Second graders rock and can all grow physically, academically and emotionally!

My Project

As a person who grew up in a tech enriched time, I feel it is important to allow my students the opportunity to stay engaged during small group center time with tablets! Having the Amazon - Fire 7 tablets will allow us to use them during guided reading instruction. Students can interact with decoding, and reading comprehension activities in which they find fun and engaging. This tablet can also be used to research topics that are being discussed. Students can even get more one on one math instruction with programs such as splash math! These tablets can also be used for positive behavior supports when students meet their academic or behavior goals.

In the 21st century teaching, students can be guided to appropriate learning opportunities through these tablets!

Technology is continuously growing! Instead of fighting screen-time, students can be taught how to use it in a positive way to meet their individual needs!
