Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students all are special education children with Down Syndrome, Autism, or other health impairments. We have been on campus since the beginning of this school year. All students require hands-on activities that include manipulatives, laminated activity folders, worksheets, educational learning web pages, visual schedules, non-fiction, and fiction books.

My Project

These tablets will make a difference in my student's learning because they will keep the students engaged in topics such as math, reading, typing, and fun activities that will stimulate their minds and creativity. The students also have academic goals such as learning to trace the letters of their names, number operations, and phonics. The use of these tablets combined with classroom centers and activities will help keep the learning going until the end of their school day. Most of these students do not have internet access outside of school. These tablets will stay at school for their use and will encourage school attendance and participation in other classroom activities.
