I teach fourth graders at an elementary school located along the rural Gulf Coast of Alabama. Our school is proud be a Leader In Me School and recently was named a Lighthouse School. We are proud the be the only Lighthouse School within a 360 mile radius. Every day my students are learning to be good leaders and good role models for others. They are learning the importance of putting first things first and thinking win-win. My students are eager to learn and are ready for every opportunity I can give them.
My Project
We have reading and math intervention everyday in my classroom. Samsung tablets will help my students hone in on specific skills during these intervention times by allowing them to research certain topics on Discovery Education and Nearpod.
Fourth graders are curious.
Discovery Education and Nearpod are excellent research-based resources that provides up-to-date information to students who seek to learn more about interesting and helpful topics.
During reading and math intervention, a student can access these resources via the Samsung tablet independently, allowing for the student to focus more on skills based activities that could enhance their reading and/or math skills.
