My students attend kindergarten in a Title I school in a low income area. 90% of students are from low income families and receive free or reduced-price lunch.
My kindergarten students thirst for activity!
In most cases, this is the only safe and secure place for them to be and learn. For many of the students in my room this is their first time in any type of school setting. The materials in my classroom need to be up-to-date and ready for my students to use.
My Project
My students don't have access to tablets for learning at school. These would provide 21st century technology to help them practice their reading, math and writing skills. I will be able to load apps and files that have interactive educational games, books for students to read, and websites for research and investigation. These students deserve to have technology available at the touch of their fingers.
My student's need engaging and interactive technology to help them learn.
They need durable headphones that will last with the use of the tablets and with the computers we have in the classroom.
