This year, I want to ensure that all of my students’ needs are met.
I currently teach 28 amazing, 3rd-grade students in a low-income/high poverty school who will one day be the leaders in our community.
My students are faced with many challenges each and every day. My goal is to care for the whole child and to provide them with all they need to be successful for their future endeavors. I plan on giving my students weekly opportunities to participate in engineering and robotics projects to prepare them for the future. Students need to be able to work in collaborative groups in problem-based learning activities.
My Project
Our school recently became STEM certified. I want to give my students the chance to collaborate together in order to build and program several different robots. Working on these robots will give the students hands-on experience working together on exciting projects. The tablets will allow my students to program and code robots together in groups. The robot will be the first robot they will be able to build together on our STEM Fridays.
My students already have shown tremendous interest in robotics building and programming.
This project will only help enrich their experiences as well as build their love for all things robotics.
