Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our school is a Title One school and most students who attend are on free or reduced price lunch. They are strong and inspirational kids, but some don't even know it. The new reading program is helping them realize how fun reading can be. Most students do not have someone at home to help them read or hold them accountable because their caretakers are working in order to provide for them.

My Project

Help give my students easy access to their materials! In order to make sure that students are actively engaged, we use a number of different materials throughout lessons. These tabletop organizers will make sure that students can easily and quickly grab what they need when they need it.

When teachers are checking for understanding and getting students excited about learning, we often use whiteboards and dry erase markers. These organizers will make sure that no learning time is wasted on students searching for the materials that they need.
