We are a preschool class in Kalamazoo, Michigan. We serve low-income, at-risk families and students and provide them with high-quality health and educational programs. We partner with organizations in our community to connect our families with the support they need to become strong families. Our families are very diverse and come from at least five different countries and we speak at least six different languages! We are active and curious about our world and we love to play!
My Project
Young children are fascinated with lights and colors. This light table will help them explore these concepts in an easy, natural way. The manipulatives will give the students hands-on learning of number and letter knowledge. The LED-illuminated surface stays cool to the touch—even after extended use so little hands can play worry-free! This table is compact so it will fit perfectly in our room!
Young children are really curious about their world and I would like to use these materials to promote higher level thinking skills and spark new conversations.
The light table can also be used for tracing artwork and examining x-rays during our study about our bodies!
