Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Technology is all around us! There are a myriad of sites to explore that allow math manipulatives and science videos to come to life. My classroom is a Bring Your Own Device, but unfortunately, not all students have a device to bring.

Unfortunately, not all students are able to bring a device.

These tablets will allow students to partake in experiences not usually available to them. The students have limited availability to the Internet at home. These devices will allow for a daily use of devices that will certainly maximize the skills needed in the area of math and science.

My Project

The devices will be used in multiple ways. Tablets will be used in whole group activities were students will work in pairs or small groups. Students will be able to have access to educational websites and games. In addition, we will use different applications in order to formatively assess the students.

The level of engagement is greatly heightened by using technology.

My students will be able to take advantage of daily use of technology in whole group and small group instruction. The use of technology will ensure deepened knowledge and acquisition of the skills necessary in fourth grade.
