My Students

I have 25 students in my fourth grade inclusion class. There are five English learners, each at different stages of learning, four students with IEPs, and other students at Tier 2 and Tier 3 of RTII. Almost all of my students come from low-income families.

They are bright, hardworking, and eager to learn students, who, given the right instruction, assistance, and resources can achieve at the highest of levels.

They love to read, persevere in learning how to analyze text, are getting to love and succeed in math, are curious about science, and want to learn more about the world around them! They work hard for their success and help and cheer each other on!

My Project

My English learners can use technology to help them learn English and get access to the learning that goes on in all the core subjects. English learners can use the tablet to do many activities to support their learning. They can read and listen to books online that are at their level. They can find definitions of words in online dictionaries. They can use Duolingo to learn English using their first language. They can use Google Translate to translate math problems, science and social studies content. They won’t feel like they are lost if they have a tool to find a word they heard but don’t understand. Thanks for making it possible for them.
