My Students

I believe that students should be engaged in the learning process and active learners. Most of the projects submitted for my classroom are to encourage students to be active learners.

My students come from a diverse background.

Being a low income school district my students face many challenges outside of the classroom. However they are very engaged in the learning process and seek information out. It is very rewarding to work with these students.

My Project

My students need an interactive tablet and microphone so that lessons can be more hands on. My students will be able to provide their work to the whole class through the tablet. They will not only interact with the mathematics but they will also be presenting the mathematics. Both skills are important in today's global society. Students must be able to communicate their knowledge. A tablet will help them learn these skills.

I believe that students will be better contributors to society after gaining the skills through this tool.

It is important that students can communicate mathematics and I believe this is an effective way to achieve that goal.
