This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students are curious, active, and imaginative 3 to 5 year olds! We love to learn through play, movement, and technology. We're looking to create a technology station in our classroom to water our budding computer skills!

Our school is located in Washington, DC and serves 100% low-income, minority students, many of whom do not have access to computers, tablets, or internet connections at home.

Supporting this cause would enable us to create a classroom technology station where 3 to 4 students could learn and play with age-appropriate technology!

My Project

This project includes 4 tablets with kid-friendly cases and screen protectors, 4 pairs of headphones, and a charging center. This project enables us to start a "technology center" in our classroom. Students can use the tablets in the technology center to access educational programming, applications, and content. Access to these applications opens up a plethora of content in math, literature, reading, writing, science, technology, and much more!

In the 21st century, students need technology-related experiences and skills in order to be successful.

A classroom in which access to tablets is frequent, fun, and meaningful can make a world of difference in a student's future skills and interest in technology. Help us make our technology center a reality!
