Welcome to our school with all of our amazing students! We are an inner-city school with over five hundred and forty PreK-6 grade students, all who receive free breakfast and lunch. Students keep thanking me for the new resources and supplies and I tell them it couldn’t happen without your support!
My students are always eager to learn new skills and with this Acer tablet and case, they will be able to pair it with a teleprompter to plan and create their own newscasts.
I have been lucky enough to be teaching at the same school for twenty-four years and am grateful each and every day for my students.
My Project
My students have almost everything that they need to start their video production class. We only need one Acer tablet and case and we can start planning and producing our newscasts! This tablet will provide students with the ability to read the news from the teleprompter and create their segments.
Students will be researching, writing, interviewing, directing and reporting the school news during a weekly newscast of our school events and happenings.
I am so excited to be able to guide and teach them what it takes to create a successful newscast and am looking forward to seeing them progress throughout the year.
Students will gain skills using the Acer tablet, learn how to use a teleprompter, a video camera, a green screen and green screen apps and software. Students will also learn interview techniques to interview members of the school and community. They will also visit with local news reporters and we hope to visit a news station twice during the school year.
