Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
BJR school students are becoming preK-to-preMed students on track for careers in the medical field. Technology has become essential from the front office, to the nurses' mobile tech station, to the doctor's laptop, or the surgeon's tablet.
We have no tablets.
I would love to include a station in my classroom that all students will have access to, where they will experience using tablets for reading, writing, and research.
Our students are resilient, intelligent, and full of potential. They need us to value them and illuminate their path. Thank you for investing in them.
My Project
Donor's choose limits us to one tablet request today, but I plan to secure matching grants to multiply the impact of your gift. The opportunity to use one ipad tablet at a learning station, is better than our current situation -- having never experienced a tablet for use in studies at all.
Least year in another district I experienced the educational power of having an ipad for every 2 students to engage learners in learning with the myriad of apps designed for ipads.
I want my classes here to experience the same engagement with 21st century technology. Please help us.
I would love to introduce my students to apps like writing about their research with Book Creator, practicing their language skills with Babbel, and fact practice with Tiny Cards, to name a few.
