Students who enter my classroom are bright, young individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds. My school has a very high percentage of students receiving free lunch. Many students in my school struggle to bring a pencil or paper to class. My school has a garden that students have the chance to work in.
I believe every student can be successful.
In my classroom, students are taught to work hard every day no matter what they are facing in life. I believe that every student is able to overcome and triumph. Many of my students rise to my expectations through their behavior and classwork.
My Project
The tablet will help students to learn using interactive lessons and games. The tablet will be used as a station when we complete station activities. This will allow students to engage in technology while learning about science. The tablet will also be used to allow students to look up something if they need to. There are many times in science where I do not have all their answers, and they may need to look something up. The tablet will also be used for students to finish computer lab assignments if they did not have time during our one computer lab day. Not only will students learn about science using the tablet, but they will also be engaging with technology. In today's world, learning how to manipulate technology is a useful tool.
This project will help to promote technology in science class by engaging students in the lesson.
It will allow me to add new and fun stations to my classroom. Students will leave my classroom with the ability to manipulate technology and tablets. Technology is a very important tool that students should be using every day. The tablet would allow students to learn in a fun, engaging way, and also it would incorporate technology standards as well as science standards. The tablet will also allow me immediate feedback on students' responses and grades as I walk around the classroom.
