My class is comprised of students with varying backgrounds. Our school is located in a unique area. Students from very economically different neighborhoods are all zoned to attend our school. I have students with special needs, ELL students (English Language Learners) as well as mainstream students in my class. I have students who receive free breakfasts and lunches, and are provided bags of food to bring home on the weekend. Most are 6 years old and are at varying levels of ability. Even though they are very different from one another, they are all so kind and sweet to one another.
Spending my days with students who are so excited to learn is a true pleasure!
I want to give these students every possible advantage that I can.
My Project
My students were gifted tablets last year but the charging ports have become worn from the constant plugging in and unplugging each day.
These NetDot Charging Magnetic Cables will allow us to keep the charging port in the tablet at all times and the cord will just need to be attached via magnet now.
This will help our tablets charge again as some of them have to be angled perfectly to pick up a charge. These tablet charging ports will also help little 6 year olds with limited fine motor skills "plug" the tablets in on their own.
We are also wanting a revamp of our class decor. After numerous years, we have very tattered bulletin board borders in our classroom that could really use an uplift. We will use the tablecloth to cover our make shift tablet station that was created with plywood and storage bins.
