My students need areas to work together in groups and with the teacher in small guided reading groups. Tables work best for our learning environment in fourth grade reading.

My Students
My fourth grade students are part of a district that has 1,327 students in K-5. I want my classroom's environment to benefit all learners and students!
We are a Title I School, with 49% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch.
Many of my students do not have access to technology and materials outside of school, so it is my job to expose them and try to grant them access to as many learning opportunities throughout the day as possible!!
My Project
Tables for teamwork will provide my reading and writing students the best environment to complete their work with teachers and peers.
A horseshoe style table will allow me and my students to interact more effectively and efficiently during guided reading and "teacher time." Students and teacher will be able to view and hear one another to maximize learning.
Two rectangular tables will allow students to work as teams for group and partner work for our reading and writing rotations. Students benefit greatly from peer input and support! Having a good table to work at will enhance our peer interactions and learning.
